ProtoCessor - Protocol Coprocessor

ProtoCessors are a family of Industrial Communications Protocol Coprocessor modules with a standardized common interface. This enables product designers to insure compatibility with a broad range of serial and Ethernet protocol requirements by adding a ProtoCessor footprint into a PCB design and providing a standardized TTL data interface. The interface protocol can be as simple as an existing Modbus RTU protocol. ProtoCessors relieve engineering and marketing from committing to a single protocol and from having to maintain skills in multiple protocols. Now designers can take advantage of the extensive library of FieldServer Technologies’ protocol drivers and they can be confident of their ability to support both changes to existing protocols and to implement with future protocols.

The ProtoCessor Protocol Coprocessor includes the FieldServer Firmware (FieldServer Protocol Engine - FPE) along with any of the following user selected protocols installed in an embedded device server.

  • BACnet
  • WebServer
  • Omron
  • XML
  • Telnet
  • Modbus ASCII
  • EtherNet/IP
  • GE-SRTP
  • Allen Bradley
  • HTML
  • Custom Protocols
  • Modbus RTU
  • Modbus/TCP
  • GE-EGD
  • Siemens
  • SNMP
  • Modbus/IP
